Blue Ribbon Project Contest - Sponsored by Compeer Financial

Compeer Financial has announce the second year of their Blue Ribbon Project contest. Created last year as a way to support youth who had their local fairs cancelled due to COVID-19, they had an overwhelming response. Many fairs will resume this year but they may look a little different than they did in the past.

The Blue Ribbon Project contest encourages 4-H and FFA members to share their fair projects. Applicants will submit a picture of their project and a short description of how their project champions rural America.

The projects will be judged in three age groups 5-8, 9-13 and 14-18.  There will be one winner in each age group for each marketplace (36 winners total). Projects will be judged on

  • How well they describe how their project champions rural America

  • Project enthusiasm and creativity

  • Correct grammar and spelling

  • Picture showing their project

  • Project difficulty and special considerations.

Entries can be submitted through www.compeer.com/blueribbon from April 15 to June 1, 2021.

The first 1,000 submissions will receive a free t-shirt. Each winner will receive $100 and $100 will go to a charity of their choice (4-H, FFA, fair organization or local food pantry).

Judging will take place June 9-16. There will be two judges per marketplace. Winners will be notified after June 17.

Please share and encourage others to participate!
