Calling All Quilters

After a successful first year of having an Educational Exhibit in the Wabasha County Fair Open Class featuring the many ways that one pattern can look different, we are bringing it back by popular demand. 

In an effort to promote and celebrate our country turning 250, we have chosen Terry Atkinson’s Lucky Stars pattern.  She has given us permission to share this pattern with others to make an exhibit for the fair. The pattern includes 5 different size quilts. If you do not have Lucky Stars and would like to participate in Open Class’s Educational display, please contact Valerie Ahlers at vajeah@hotmail.com.

The fair Entry date for Open Class for 2026 is: Tuesday July 14 from 11:00 am (1 hour earlier this year) to 5:30 pm. Dates for the Wabasha County Fair for public viewing are Wednesday, July 15th until Saturday, July 18th. Last year we had 18 different exhibit entries-AMAZING! 

Remember, this is an Educational Display and is not judged so we encourage you to show your creative ways and share with others.
