Calling All Quilters

Wabasha County Fair Open Class (and the Material Girls) have an opportunity for you to be part of an Educational Exhibit at the Wabasha County Fair being held July 30-August 2!  A pattern has been selected, and we are putting together a Educational Display showing a variety of results that can be achieved with the same basic pattern using different colors, fabrics and creative ways to make. 

The pattern is “Hip to Piece Squares” designed by Kim Schaefer and was featured in the June 2022 issue of the APQ magazine. The pattern is available by email or contacting Valerie Ahlers (or an Open Class committee member). Permission has been granted by the magazine. 

This will be an Education Exhibit, not judged and will be on display in the Event Center at the Wabasha County Fairgrounds from Wednesday, July 30 until Saturday, Aug. 2.  This is open to all sewers and groups. 

Entry Day is Tuesday, July 29th from Noon until 5:30 in the Open Class building.
